On September 6-7, Gateway Analytical hosted the annual Inhalation and Nasal Technology Focus Group (INTFG) Fall Symposium at the Pittsburgh Marriott North in Cranberry Township, Pa. Prior to the symposium, we hosted a welcome reception on the evening of Thursday, September 6th at our facility in Gibsonia, Pa, where we provided food and drinks, along with the opportunity to let attendees tour our laboratory facility. Attendees had the opportunity to speak directly with our experienced scientific staff about how our unique chemical imaging capabilities, as well as the pharmaceutical forensics work we do and how this applies to nasal and inhalation product development. And of course we had lots of fun games and prizes! We're happy to report that attendees enjoyed the food and games, as well as the networking that provided them the chance to talk to our scientists one-on-one about their nasal and inhalation challenges.
On September 7th the official symposium went off without a hitch with a total attendance of 39 people. Discussions included topics such as Excipient Challenges in the Development of Dry Powder Inhalers, Spray-dried Phospholipid Microparticles—Engineering Excipient Particles to Enable pMDI Formulation Elegance, and A New Ideal Excipient for Inhalation Delivery and Lactose for Dry Powder Inhalers—DFE Pharma’s Perspective.
Many thanks to the speakers, organizers and companies that helped make this year's symposium exceptional!
